Will Speak at Acadia Disposal District
Board Meeting June 17, 2004

Tony Smith, chairman of Acadia Disposal District (ADD) announced today that the Municipal Review Committee (MRC) CEO Greg Lounder will be the main speaker at the June 17 th regular ADD meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the Somesville Fire House.

The MRC is an organization owned by more than 130 member towns (including all MDI towns) to oversee the operation of the Penobscot Energy Recovery Company (PERC) on behalf of those towns. PERC is where all of MDI's household trash is taken and incinerated.

CEO Lounder will discuss what MRC is and what it means to the member towns and will discuss the Annual Guaranteed Tonnage requirement in all of the PERC contracts. He will also take any questions from those attending the meeting. These subjects are very important to all of MDI and especially the ADD member towns.

Chairman Smith, on behalf of the ADD Board of Directors, extends a welcome to all of the public, including the selectmen from the member towns.
